Four lecturers from the Informatics Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, have received prestigious recognition as "ASEAN Engineers." This recognition was granted based on the outcomes of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization (AFEO) Board Midterm Meeting held on July 22, 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand. The four of them are:

1. Dr. Ir. Bambang Sugiantoro, S.Si., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng.
2. Dr. Ir. Shofwatul 'Uyun, S.T., M.Kom., IPM., ASEAN Eng.
3. Agus Mulyanto, S.Si., M.Kom., ASEAN Eng.
4. Dr. Agung Fatwanto, S.Si., M.Kom., ASEAN Eng.

As ASEAN Engineers, they are provided with opportunities for cross-border mobility and professional practice within the ASEAN region. This acknowledgment is a form of appreciation for their contributions and competence in the field of engineering and technology, recognized by the engineering community at the regional level.

With this recognition, both of them are expected to contribute further to the development and progress of engineering in the ASEAN region. This achievement also serves as an inspiration for students and fellow colleagues at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and other educational institutions to continue excelling and making significant contributions to the world of engineering and science at both regional and global levels.
