Navigating Global Halal Standards and Finance Trends: Insights from Summer Course 2024

Yogyakarta, July 22nd2024 - Halal regulations are a crucial aspect of the global food industry. Through the participants' enthusiasm, Summer Course 2024 commenced with a session on global halal regulations on the thirteenth day. The course material, "Halal Regulation in Malaysia and Other Countries," was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurrulhidayah Binti Ahmad Fadzillah from Inhart, Malaysia, delivered a detailed overview of global halal standards. Moderated by Atika Yahdiyani Ikhsani, M.Sc. from UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The Session gives deep insights into the regulatory frameworks overseeing halal practices in various regions, enhancing understanding of international compliance and certification processes. Malaysia, in particular, maintains stringent standards for halal products through thorough production supervision and certification.

The Following Session is from Prof. Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin, M.Acc, CFP, who presented "Current Trends in the Halal Industry," with Noor Saif Muhammad Mussafi, S.Si., M.Sc. as the moderator. The Session focused on the latest advancements and emerging trends in halal finance, providing valuable insights into the development and future outlook of halal financial products and services. It also highlighted the significance of transitioning banking practices to align with Sharia principles. Prof. Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin, M.Acc, CFP, urged, "Please change the lifestyle now because even a mujahid, though Syahid, may have his entry to heaven delayed due to debt."
