Bridging Innovation and Healthcare: FST Collaborates with and Multimedia University (MMU) Malaysia in International Knowledge Sharing Event

The Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta successfully conducted an international Academic Knowledge Sharing programme entitled “Innovating for Better Health, Smarter Systems, and Connected Lives” on 27 April 2026 via online using Microsoft Teams paltform.

 

This program was initiated as part of the international collaboration between the Faculty of Science and Technology and Multimedia University (MMU), aiming to strengthen global academic partnerships, interdisciplinary research collaboration, and knowledge exchange in the fields of healthcare technology, artificial intelligence, and smart systems.

 

The event featured three distinguished speakers from different institutions who shared their expertise and research experiences, providing valuable new insights and inspiring discussions for all participants. Prof. Shivendu from Gyan Ganga Institute delivered a presentation entitled “Transforming Healthcare through AI and Machine Learning for Sustainable Well-Being.”  The second presentation was delivered by Dr. Adeshina from Multimedia University on the topic “Telemedicine for Remote Healthcare Access.” Meanwhile, Dr. Usfita from the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, presented research entitled “Heterogeneous Human Motion Decomposition in Action Recognition and Style Transfer.”

 

The program attracted enthusiastic participation from lecturers, researchers, and students from various institutions. The discussions and interactive question-and-answer sessions reflected the strong interest in emerging technologies and their applications for improving human well-being and connected digital systems.

 

This initiative demonstrates the FST’s commitment to promoting international academic engagement and building sustainable collaborations with global partners. Through this collaborative initiative with Multimedia University, the FST hopes to further expand future activities, including joint research, guest lectures, student mobility programmes, and other international academic collaborations that support innovation and sustainable development.
