The
Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta recently completed an academic collaboration with the
Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education (FPTV) at Universiti Tun Hussein
Onn Malaysia (UTHM) through the International Outbound Online Course Program.
The program, held from July 28 to September 21, 2025, offered two courses in Material
Selection and Entrepreneurship.
Forty-five
undergraduate students from FST UIN Sunan Kalijaga, representing Industrial
Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, participated in this global
initiative. They took part in online lectures, collaborative projects, and
academic discussions with UTHM peers and lecturers. The program broadened
students' academic perspectives, enhanced cross-cultural understanding, and
strengthened their global competencies.
Student
participation in this program supports FST's vision to develop globally
competitive graduates prepared to contribute to science and technology
internationally. This initiative also
supports FST’s ongoing internationalization efforts.
This
collaboration not only strengthened the academic partnership between FST UIN
Sunan Kalijaga and UTHM but also created new opportunities for future joint
research, student mobility, and international learning programs.
